Oil & Gas / Well Operations
Provide well site supervision overseeing oil and gas well operations with depths of up to 5700 meters and experience with single and multi-leg horizontal wells as well as vertical wells.
Facilitate both onshore and offshore well completions of varying degrees based on the completion program in place.
Familiar with industry specific tools such as conventional wireline cores, VWP (vibration wireline penetrometers), piezometers, 2” monitoring PVC wells & SIN (scope inclinometer pipe) used in the Oil Sands field.
Possess intermediate abandonment experience in cementing dry holes within the drilling process.
Practical hands on equipment operations with most rig equipment and source out water trucks, vac trucks, centrifuges, trash pumps, loaders, and numerous other required rental items for the rig.
Able to oversee the entire operation of rig fleet (7 rigs) without support of Drilling Superintendent, providing rig modifications to suit customer needs, develop SOP’s, building and design modifications of new and existing rigs.
Oversee the core rig fleet and operational requirements for clients which included conventional wireline coring operations within the Oil Sands industry.
Experience in drilling horizontal wells up to 5500 metres into Duvenay formation (exploratory wells), high gas content with numerous issues related to drilling and mud system due to unproven field.

Safety Management & Hazard Identification
Safety is my number one concern on every rig site while offering top rate training and proper operation of drills is something that is implemented on a regular basis.
Facilitate daily safety meetings with each crew, service crews or as required with the primary focus on providing a safe and accident free environment through sharing ideas and defining safe work procedures.
Extensive training is offered to the crews to make them aware of hazards and report, mitigate and find solutions on ways of eliminating the specific issues in the future.
Initiate safety procedures when none are in place by the company or drilling contractor to ensure a safer and more efficient work force.
Remain my core responsibility to maintain a high level of safety awareness including health and safety of employees (PPE), environmental issues, as well as proper maintenance and use of equipment on site.
Implement environmental controls and promote environmental awareness to project personnel.
Present safety statistics and information during site progress and safety meetings.
Thoroughly inspect worksite conditions and communicate findings with field crews, supervision and client.
Prepare incident reports in order to rectify and prevent future occurrences and share these reports with our clients and all of industry so these types of incidents are prevented in the future industry wide.
